ALONSO SALAS, Ángel. Suicide: do right of self-determination physics or exercise freedom with regard to life itself?. EPISTEME [online]. 2010, vol.30, n.2, pp.49-60. ISSN 0798-4324.
Without a doubt, the suicide act is considered as a unnatural act or deci- sion conditioned by external factors. There are cases which may pose suicide as a rational and legitimate option i. e., the Stoics. This paper will be the reflection of the suicide act (rational, deliberate) of a dilemma: first of all understand that act as one of the rights of physical self-determination, which raises voluntary death as one of the fourth generation rights, and, secondly, as an exercise of the free- dom that a subject is carrying out with his own life. This paper will include cases where suicide is a decision based and legitimized by the principles of bioethics or by the autonomy and freedom of the subject in itself.
Palabras clave : Suicide; physical self-determination; law.
