Resumen

LATOUCHE, Miguel. The Antigone dilemmas: Reflections on the civil disobedience. EPISTEME [online]. 2011, vol.31, n.2, pp.25-44. ISSN 0798-4324.

Public interactions are possible due to the development of a coherent social order. This is possible due to the existence of legal instruments that permit the regulation of social interactions. Individuals are supposed to comply with the restrictions indicated by the Law. And yet: What happens when individuals consider that the Law is unfair, either because its creation is not properly done or because its implications do not fit the basic principles of a fair and universally accepted justice? Antigone confronts a tragic decision: she is compelled to obey the Law and save her live or to act fairly and lose it.

Palabras clave : civil disobedience; legal order; legitimacy.
