The aim of this paper is to present two topics of mathematical logic and foundations: The first topic is an update of the Church’s dem­onstration of the Gödel’s completeness Theorem for First-Order Logic, which appears in his text “Introduction to Mathematical Logic” (1956) and uses the effective procedure of Skolem normal form; the second topic is a demonstration that the partition property (Ramsey type) of the Baire space called “polarized partition property” is false in the basic Cohen model.
