Resumen

BACETA V, Jesús F. Logic, possible worlds and Galois conections. EPISTEME [online]. 2015, vol.35, n.1, pp.13-29. ISSN 0798-4324.

It is argued that the distinguishing feature of contemporary logic, propositional, quantificational and modal types, are a type of oppositions of oppositions called "Galois connections". To do this, the Kripkean notion of possible world is explained, Galois connections present in quantification are made explicit, in alethic modalities and it is shown how these oppositions, by Montague’s suggestion, appear in the treatment of non-alethic modalities as the possibility and physical need.

Palabras clave : possible worlds; Galois connections; Kripke's models.
