Resumen

ROSALES SANCHEZ, Juan J. Perception and Experience. EPISTEME [online]. 2015, vol.35, n.2, pp.21-36. ISSN 0798-4324.

This paper examines, from an epistemological point of view, some meanings of the concept of perception and its links with the notion of experience. With this aim in view, the Latin-etymological term and the rescue of the initial awareness of the active role of perception are considered. Starting at the idea that perception is activity, is closely related to the thesis we defend wich claims perception as core of experience because not-perception due to subject would lack its necessary adjustment ability to deal with the world. perception. Initially, we proceed analytically to elucidate the plurality of meanings of the concepts involved; nevertheless, we switch from the elucidation of the meanings to the synthetic production of a thesis about the relationship between experience and perception.

Palabras clave : Perception; Experience; Dealing with the world.
