Resumen
CAMPOS, Carelia. The personal identity as poetry in the work of Paul Ricoeur . EPISTEME [online]. 2015, vol.35, n.2, pp.61-72. ISSN 0798-4324.
Paul Ricoeur deals the topic of metaphor and personal identity in two important works The Rule of Metaphor and Oneself as Another, respectively. These issues seemingly far apart have a starting common point in the Aristotelian philosophy in particular in the treatise on Poetics. After analyzing these texts, points of convergence between a theory of metaphor and a theory of personal identity are outlined. This paper is merely an interpretative proposal on the possible role of metaphor in the structural constitution of personal identity framed within the theory of narrative identity of Paul Ricoeur.
Palabras clave : metaphor; poetics; personal identity.
