Abstract

LUGO-SOTO, María; JIMENEZ, Claudia; MOLINA, Francelina  and  GONZALEZ, Johan. Effect of Trichoderma harzianum and liquid humus vegetative establishment Tithonia diversifolia (Hemsl) A. Gray. Zootecnia Trop. [online]. 2013, vol.31, n.1, pp.24-34. ISSN 0798-7269.

The objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of Trichoderma harzianum and liquid humus on sprouting (B), survival (S), number of leaves (NL), length of shoots (LR), root length (LRA), subject air dry (MSA) and root dry matter (MSR) on the establishment of Tithonia diversifolia vegetative. We used a completely randomized design with four treatments and four replications. The treatments were T1: Trichoderma harzianum, T2: Terrahumus, T3: liquid humus earthworm and T4: control ( untreated cuttings ). The variables LRA , MSA and MSR showed signifi cant differences in the treatments. T2 obtained the highest values for LR (22,81 cm) and LRA (42,25 cm) and T4 for the MSA (5,65 g.bolsa-1) y la MSR (5,65 g.bolsa-1), although the latter did not differ signifi cantly T2. The results support the conclusion that the stake of T. diversifolia can be set properly without using products that stimulate their growth , however , under the conditions of the experiment , the Terrahumus has potential to stimulate growth of the cuttings.

Keywords : Tithonia diversifolia; liquid humus; stakes; sprouting; root length; dry matter.
