Connections between research on linguistics and computer science have not been a productive area from a language science perspective in the Spanish language. The rise both of CORPUS LINGUISTICS and the so-called sPECIALIZED DISCOURSE has shown a growing development during the last years. This article explores this kind of relationships (discourse, linguistics and applied computer science) from a corpus linguistics point of view. In addition, a framework is proposed for the development of psycholinguistic discourse competence of written language in technical-professional contexts as well as a description of specialized written discourse from an interdisciplinary analysis.
