In this paper we present our latest findings concerning acoustic studies with recordings of the educated norm in the Hispanic world. The data was taken from twelve individual interviews as part of the Estudio de la norma lingüística culta del español de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria which enables us to set the average length of the VOT of the voiceless stops in the educated norm of the capital city of Gran Canaria. We can also determine whether phonetic or social factors may af affect the estimated mean for each consonant.
