This paper aims to reflect about the axis movement experienced in power/solidarity that affects the use of the forms of treatment in an urban community in Santiago de Cuba, related to socio-economic changes adopted in the country after the collapse occur the socialist camp. This shift is linked to the new concepts that have emerged, and they have to do with the socio-economic status of the speaker. These changes have been reflected in the forms of treatment santiagueras as an expression of this reality. His description, use and meaning are those expressed.
