Resumen
PICON MEDINA, Gilberto. Educational research to promote the university-school relationship required for a knowledge-based society. Rev. Ped [online]. 2004, vol.25, n.73, pp.13-22. ISSN 0798-9792.
From the point of view suggested in the title to this article, a mediating process involving a group of researchers and graduate students from three universities and a group of educational actors from ten public elementary schools from different regions of the country is analyzed. Based on theory on human action and the principles and rules of the Continuous Comparative Method, a modality of critical educational research emerging from that process is both reconstructed and characterized. A main contention of the study is that this type of research is useful for the development of an intelligent school and promote the interaction between the university, the school, and the administration of the educational system. This type of research may facilitate the combining of the kinds of knowledge present in each three of these institutional levels and can generate a network which in turn may help bring into union both the schools actions and government educational policies. In this way, a more effective contribution to the improvement of peoples life standards in a society of knowledge might be achieved.
