In this paper some results derived from the examination of a group of schooling indicators from the World Educational Report or WER are presented. By means of charts, tables and comment, evidence is shown as to the regressive trend with regard to schooling in Venezuela. The fact that this trend exists is not only against current legislation but also a sign of the lagging of our country in this regard. This denies the ideal of education for everyone, a principle considered to guide educational policies of most countries of the world.
