UZCATEGUI, Ramón Alexander. Venezuelas Educational Memory. A line of research for the analysis and follow up of the educational institutionality. Rev. Ped [online]. 2006, vol.27, n.78, pp.139-168. ISSN 0798-9792.
The line of research Venezuelas Educational Memory (MEV) is a research project developed at the Center of Educational Research (CEIS) at the School of Education, Central University of Venezuela. Its work is oriented towards the integration of a community of researchers interested in the understanding and interpretation of the realities that go along with the institutional development of the Venezuelan school system. The central aim of this line of research is the constitution of a data base that organizes and provides an account of the key historical educational events that have taken place since the fifteenth century until today. Various undergraduate and graduate works that address the historical development of the Venezuelan school system are registered in this line of research and, despite the relatively short period of time during which it has been in effect, achievements have been concrete and diverse. The editorial project associated with the line of research has been consolidated offering the community of researchers a wealth of information related to our countrys educational developments. The works completed thus far include three undergraduate theses, two professors research theses and the ongoing works include various projects on early education, regional education, rural education, private education and foreign affairs in education.
