CORDOVA, Doris. Pedagogical views of students of education: an investigation with students in the Supervised University Studies Program of the School of Education at the Universidad Central de Venezuela. Rev. Ped [online]. 2006, vol.27, n.79, pp.231-269. ISSN 0798-9792.
This study concerns the thoughts and opinions of both teachers and students of education. Its main aim is to study how students in the Supervised University Studies Program of the School of Education at the Universidad Central de Venezuela visualize the educational process through a description of the characteristics of their pedagogical opinions and establish how these are represented in these educators of the future. The aims of the study are: a) identify the thought and opinions of a group of SUS students on pedagogical aspects, b) establish similarities and differences between students on this topic according to the regions where they live and their personal characteristics. Information was collected through the application of a questionnaire on pedagogical opinions. The results obtained lead us to conclude that: a) stress was given to the idea that teaching should include community work, b) that to be a teacher necessarily meant receiving pedagogical training, c) that democratic participation in the classroom and the institution is important, d) that appreciable differences exist between those students who already have classroom experience and those who do not.
