BRAVO JAUREGUI, Luis. The International projection of Venezuelan Education: Exploring what is projected, where and how. Rev. Ped [online]. 2009, vol.30, n.86, pp.13-45. ISSN 0798-9792.
In this work we present the results of a study aimed at understanding the way in which the international projection of education and national culture towards Bolivia has been produced in the years 2006-2007. On the basis of a typical conceptual sample of Venezuelan pedagogy, we produce an initial analysis of the most important data resulting from the Memoria Educativa Venezolana project of the School of Education at the Universidad Central de Venezuela (http//memoria educativav.blogspot.com) whose results may be summarized along two lines. First, there are signs that might suggest that during the years 2006 and 2007 evident signs appeared of a substantial change in the countrys international relations in educational terms that, apparently, meant that we changed from being a country that predominantly imported experiences and practices to one which exported pedagogic culture. In second place, the quality and quantity of evidence gathered and organized through systematic observation, lays doubts on the claim that the presence of national education in the world is effectively a legitimate, finished representation of National Pedagogy, but rather, would seem to be part of pedagogy that is not so much national but the propagation of a culture closely associated with anti-imperialism, united behind the figure of the Venezuelan president.
