The objective of this study was to compare direction and leadership dimensions of two special education institutions, Pedro González Meleán and Carmen Cabriles, which are managed within Escuela Bolivariana framework model. The research was designed as a comparative, transverse and univariable field study. The population and sample consisted of fifty-four employees who work in those institutions. The sample was non-probabilistic. The data-gathering technique were an interview and a questionaire; there was a guideline for the interview and the questionaire was based on a Likert scale. The validity of the instruments was obtained by subjecting them to expert scrutiny and reliabilty was measured using the Alfa Cronbach internal consistency quotinent, which was 0.9878. Data analysis was carried out in qualitative- quantitative fashion. The results point out a close interrelation between direction and leadership in Dr. Pedro González Melián and Carmen Cabriles special education schools and Escuelas Bolivarianas Management Model.
