The proposals to incorporate Technologies of Information and Communication to school areas are of great concern to the current educational context. The objective of this article is to fi nd out some of the socio-cultural variables that could affect the processes of adoption and dissemination of technologies. The research reported is a part of a wider study about the use of Technologies of Information and Communication on Child Education and is structured from an ethnographic design under the general model of Thompson (1993). It was developed with teachers from the Instituto Educacional Aquiles Nazoa.
