The aim of this article is to develop basis for the creation of programs on continuing education intending to improve the quality of children’s education. To that end, the following sections were developed: (a) continuing education training, (b) legal and practical basis for continuing education training in Venezuela, (c) teachers: continuing education participants, (d) determine the knowledge mediator. Among the most important conclusions arising from the analysis by the postulants, we can mention that continuing education can be viewed as a key element to keep up-to-date the teaching personnel, thus increasing their practical teaching capabilities; also, we must point out that the success of such a program is based on flexibility, participation and democratization principles.
