The purpose was establish the infl uence of the Progressive Fragmented Method (PF) and the Regressive Fragmented Method (RF) in the learning process of the spike in Volley Ball. The subjects were 50 with no knowledge about the skill, they were distributed by random in 2 groups, one practiced as PF and the other as RF. Both were required to participate in a pre-test and post-test, after 20 weeks of not practice period a retention test. The student t were applied to determine statistical diferences under 0,05 level of signifi cance. The results determined that the RF group improved more its performance as a result of the treatmeat, also in the retention test.The results advice the use of the Regressive Fragmented method as an easier teaching drill.
