The article, explore the potential of Knowledge Management for it’s application in the field of Higher Education, supported by the collaborative tools, then to make a check list of the state of the current management knowledge, the differentiation of the types of knowledge that can be managed, the elements that are to be considered for the management of higher education, which are the collaborative tools, which are the ones that have the highest possibility of being applied in these institutions and finally to project the possibilities of managing knowledge in institutions of Higher education using some collaborative tools
