The purpose was to characterize the manifestations of the reading process in children with Learning Disabilities. The type of study of field, with an exploratory level and with the strategy of study of case. The techniques used: find: participating observation, interview thoroughly and instruments as the daily of field. The process of analysis used the categorization and the triangulation. Conclude that the reading process is seen as a dynamic, integral and constructive action that requires of the participation of the text, the reader and those contextual elements that are included in these; it is for it that this prosecute can deal with influenced so much in a positive way as negative for elements of physical, emotional nature, cognitive and linguistic; factors that may cause difficulties when implementing the act of reading.
