The research purpose was to elaborate a model about the quality of life at the Institute Pedagogic of Caracas according to environmental conditions observed and social representations related to quality of life held by the inner community. The methodology adopted a mixed design taking into account quantitative and qualitative data. Informants were selected in an intentional way. The information was collected through a questionnaire and direct observation. The procedure steps were: elaboration and validation of instrument, collecting the data and processing it, then data analysis and its interpretations were done in order to construct the model of quality of life at the IPC. The results showed some problems in the physic and natural conditions, community services and communication strategies which are responsible for community dissatisfaction.
