GARCIA, Melissa y MAZZARELLA, Clemen. Effect of a didactic intervention constructivist on the knowledge and the resolution of problems related to biological inheritance in students of ninth degree. Revista de Investigación [online]. 2011, vol.35, n.74, pp.111-138. ISSN 1010-2914.
This study is to evaluate the effect of a didactical intervention based on the constructivist, on the knowledge of the biological heredity and the use of cognitive processes related to the solution of problems. It was applied to 9th grade Junior High students. Strategies based on the transmission of contents are usually applied in classrooms, but such strategies do not encourage or promote high level cognitive processes on the students. In the genetic area, the contents are complex and learning such contents is related to the solution of problems. A camp investigation was made, and a quasi experimental design, using Pre-Test and Post-Test. The data obtained from the pre test was used on the design of Didactic Unit applied on the experimental group. According to the data obtained it can be stated that the students on the experimental group gained a higher knowledge and were able to use the cognitive processes in a more frequent and effective way. As a conclusion, the suggested Didactical Intervention promotes a sistematic and reflective process of solving problems and developing an autonomic and autoregulated learning.
