The modification process of science conceptions had been studied taking in consideration only the cognitive aspect of the ideas that the students possessed in relation to the nature of Science. Recent research indicates that in the modification process of science conceptions, the affectivity plays a decisive role. The purpose was describe the influence of the affective element in the modification process of conceptions related to the nature of science, by means of a pedagogic strategy. The information was collected from reflective weekly diaries and interviews. The analyzed using the Grounded Theory methods which revealed the wide range of emergent emotions when one tries to promote the modification of a certain conception. In fact, the initial categorization allows us to point out that the situations presented in class, released affective conflicts in the students provoking frustration and commotion that were associated with changes of attitude and of moods in front of the epistemological position presented, which could have influenced the decisions taken by the students in order to modify their conceptions.
