Resumen
SANCHEZ REYES, Juan Carlos. Design and implementation of a Kundt tube for meaningful learning of standing waves and their use among high school students. Revista de Investigación [online]. 2012, vol.36, n.75, pp.115-127. ISSN 1010-2914.
The study of physical phenomena based on theoretical models can present difficulty for students, who tend to be actively involved when they view the phenomenon. The acoustic experiences are associated with sophisticated equipment. This paper proposes an alternative experimental, handmade, which allows the study of stationary waves by the method of Kundt tube. The experiment consists of projecting audio waves, coming from an audio generator, inside a plastic tube. The waves are collected, amplified to and measured by an AC voltmeter. An scheme of the ½ watt amplifier, coupled to an electret type high impedance microphone, is presented in detail. The equipment is economical and easy to use. This experience has been conducted in the classroom, allowing students to construct and validate their models based on their pre-concepts, based on the Ausubel’s theory of the Meaningful Learning
