The game is present in all human cultures as a tool to symbolize the environment and recreate it. The study aimed to describe the leisure of the artistic and pedagogical Gladys Medina. Specific objectives: to summarize the theory relating to the game in the field of art and describes the playful in Gladys Medina from his artistic production and teaching. Documentary research which summarizes the dialogical hermeneutics developed by Hans Georg Gadamer (1991) and Lopez Quintas (1997), as the game as a thread of aesthetic experience. From that perspective, he examines the recreational-educational and work of Gladys Medina. In conclusion, we highlight the importance of this creative contribution in the field of artistic production, and its important influence on the formation of the painters of the Art Department of the Pedagogical Institute of Caracas
