ALVARADO, Gelvis; SOLAMI, Rivas y OCHOA, Marlene. Instructional Design with approach to Science Technology and Society (STS) for the teaching of the Nervous System. Revista de Investigación [online]. 2012, vol.36, n.77, pp.125-146. ISSN 1010-2914.
The work was to develop an instructional design with approach to science, technology and society (STS) for teaching the content of nervous system. Feasible project whose methodology included three stages: (a) needs assessment (b) development of instructional design; (c) validation. The instruments used were: (a) diagnostic questionnaire and (b) Likert scale for validation of instructional design experts. The data analysis was conducted both qualitative (content analysis) and quantitatively (frequency). The results indicated that the majority of teachers surveyed do not know the STS approach, what makes difficult to them to promote the integration and contextualization of knowledge in learners. Based on the results, various activities were designed to be chosen by the teacher according the needs of his group. The results indicate that the material can promote meaningful learning in students and its application is recommended.
