The environmental education in wetlands seeks to promote the knowledge and the valuation of these spaces in order to achieve its conservation and sustainable use. The aim of the investigation is to propose the Didactic Unit “The queen in the school” directed to students of 4° degree of the U.E.E. “Fermín Toro”, located in Carenero, Miranda state, in order to promote the educational boarding of the wetland “Laguna La Reina”. An analysis of the drawings realized by 39 children of 4 ° degree of Primary school was realized to determine their conceptions about this wetland. The analysis was realized from two categories related to: (1) natural and human elements and (2) human activities and cultural products. The didactic unit was designed in 14 topics across which the student has the possibility to understand the characteristics and the benefits that generates the wetlands.
