The implementation of inquiry methodology has been developed since 1910, when the idea of teaching science from inquiry, with the purpose of developing scientific skills in the learner, this has varied its implementation through the years and there are now clearly established criteria of the Inquiry Based Science Education Program and the Indagala program. To appreciate its evolution it is necessary to make a documentary study which allows us to obtain advances presented by several countries. To deepen on the implementation of the inquiry methodology, is to take into account the skills and scientific competences that are desirable to achieve on the student, which is the foundation that guides the process of its implementation in the classroom. In this approach, the teacher is a facilitator of learning, which implies to promote profound changes in his teaching practice, to achieve the goals proposed by this program.
