NUNEZ RAVELO, Franklin. Microbiotic crusts composition and its influence on soil properties in semiarid . Revista de Investigación [online]. 2013, vol.37, n.80, pp.91-116. ISSN 1010-2914.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of constituent species microbiotic crusts in some soil physicochemical properties. For this developed three phases: (a) field, to collect soil samples with and without microbiotic crusts; (b) Laboratory, allowed the measurements of the variables studied in soil samples, discriminating those with microbiotic cons morphological groups;(c) interpretation of the results, using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results reveal that the samples in the lichen dominated, have a tendency towards higher values alkalization of soils, while those with only bryophyte have towards neutral pH and significantly higher values of CO, CO2 and MO. No evident variations associated with morphological groups that constitute the crust, in properties salinity, C.E and humidity.
