TOLEDO BRUZUAL, Valentina. Quantification of the regressive erosion for headcut and loss of soil in gullies in the sector of Susucal, estado Lara, Venezuela. Revista de Investigación [online]. 2013, vol.37, n.80, pp.117-138. ISSN 1010-2914.
In the Depression of Carora, Lara state, specifically in the town of Susucal, erosive forms well developed gully on thick alluvial sediments are observed. This paper analyzes the morphology of acarcavada from different techniques and starts down headcut retreat rate erosion estimation and quantification of the volume of soil lost in three gullies. Its geomorphological evolution tends to the increase in the size of headers and edges of the gullies, (retreat rate of 2.05, 4.56 and 4.72 m/year in the gullies, “A”, “B” and “C”, respectively.). The first data obtained in the quantification of the current dynamics of these processes, are running at a rate of erosion of 2223,83 m 3 a year, high considering the monitored extension 1350,2 m 2 .The detailed study of these forms of erosive riled will help in proper planning and management of the land in this area which is partly included in the future of the Morere River.
