MARCANO MONTILLA, Arismar  e  CARTAYA RIOS, Scarlet. Hazard Zoning of the threat of mass wasting processes caused by rainfall between Camuri Chico and Punta Tigrillo, Vargas state, Venezuela. Revista de Investigación [online]. 2013, vol.37, n.80, pp.189-214. ISSN 1010-2914.

The goal is to zone the threat of landslide movement considering rainfall as a trigger, between the creek to creek Camurí Chico El Tigrillo,Vargas state, in order to contribute to preventive and corrective planninglocal risk for development sustainable. This research explanatory used:(a) univariate and multivariate geostatistical analysis for obtaining specific susceptibility maps and susceptibility weighted end, (b) applying Additive Compensatory Theory of Analytic Hierarchy Method (MJA) Assessment Multicriteria (EMC) to assign weights to the variables, and (c) determining the optimal rainfall isohyets and map to generate map of threat to mass wasting processes. We conclude that 90.99% of the study area is medium to extremely threatened to landslides triggered by the influence of rainfall, concentrated in the upper and middle reaches, where the fans where materials accumulate seat removed and the population.
