Abstract

MUJICA, Scarleth  and  PACHECO, Henry. Methodology for the generation of a model map for ubication of threats of landslides in the river Camurí Grande, in the state Vargas, Venezuela. Revista de Investigación [online]. 2013, vol.37, n.80, pp.215-244. ISSN 1010-2914.

The landslides are a problem for the population in areas of slope, increase vulnerability and can affect infrastructure, property and life. Theprincipal main is to propose a methodology for the design of a model of threat for landslides, applied to the river Camuri Grande, State Vargas, Venezuela, whereas variables of susceptibility as geology, slope, geomorphology, vegetation and space use conflict; and the inducing variables of rainfall and seismic. There is a procedure of the “Spatial Evaluation Multicriterion”,with elements of the Costa Rican methodology Mora-Vahrson to classify the threat by landslides, as well as the use of the instrument Matrix of Analytical Classification and theoretical investigations, for the assignment of the weight weighted of the variables and the crossing of the maps, with support of a system of Geographical information. These models are of supreme importance for the management of risks, in prevention policies.
