The research aims to develop a methodological approach to the use of Geographic Information Technologies (GIT) in the teaching of Earth Sciences. The study is classified as a feasible project and leaned on a desk and field research descriptive. The population and sample of this work is for teachers who currently manage the course of Earth Sciences and students in the fifth year of General Media Education. The instruments used consisted of interview guide directed to the area of computer science that allowed us to determine the feasibility of the proposal, a survey for teachers and a checklist for students. The results obtained indicate that the teachers and the students are motivated by the implementation of Geographic Information Technology (GIT). So are some activities with the use of GOOGLE EARTH that allow programmatic content approach Earth Sciences related to astronomy, disaster risk management, plate tectonics, landforms, and vegetation.
