This work is a chronological summary of the background that led to the design and implementation of the course Science, Technology and Society for Biology and Chemistry students of the Instituto Pedagógico de Caracas. The course is offered as a workshop with tools, strategies for teaching content in biology and chemistry. It also presents the status of the subject at present and the results of the application of a survey of students about the course. These results show a complete acceptance by it, but equally, there were some signs that corrected, would involve improvements to the course. The author of this research has incorporated such signs to get to the current version of the course.
