The purpose of the study was to design an activity guide for students and teachers at the Instituto Pedagógico de Caracas, which contribute to skills development in biotechnology and supportive in a multimedia. A feasible project was developed with the application of unstructured interviews with students and teachers of biology to determine the needs of both groups according to the production model of instructional materials(Galvis, 1992) and the production model of multimedia applications (Abud, 2009). Produced materials were presented to UNESR-IDECYT biotechnology specialists, and UPEL-IPC teachers in the area of biology and instructional design. Finally, the materials will be included in the elective course Biotechnology to be issued from the period 2015-I to validate by users.
