The purpose was to determine the somatotype characteristics baseball player in the stages of maturation of6-16years of age, belonging to the corporation Criollitos Venezuela Capital Region. 125 minor baseball players were evaluated Venezuelans from preparatory to the youth categories. Used by Carter and Heath (1990) method for the calculation of the characteristics somatotype since it is one of the anthropometric parameters helps we described the athlete. Results were obtain ed with statistically significant differences (ANOVAp<0.05) in comparisons somatotypeas a whole among athletes, therefore the alterntive hypothesis (H1) is accepted: μ1 ≠ μ2. The somatotype feature that prevailed in the different categories was the mesomorph-endomorph, reflecting more moderate development player sin skeletal muscle under study.
