CARTAYA, Scarlet; ZURITA, Shirley y RODRIGUEZ, Elvira. Supervised classification for selection of sampling areas the cinegetic species in the Wildlife, Marine and Coastal Pacoche Refuge, Manabí province, Ecuador . Revista de Investigación [online]. 2015, vol.39, n.85, pp.52-62. ISSN 1010-2914.
This work was resorted to supervise classification technique to recognize spatial patterns in satellite images, and helps to generate accurate location of sampling areas for study criteria. We proceeded to: 1) preparation of the base map of the study area; 2) the collection of information relied for natural physical characterization of 3) the study area; visual identification of the geographical l and scape elements in the previously processed images; 4) development of preliminary classification field unedited version; 5) control survey field data and corrections to the classification for the final version. We conclude that supervised classification, together with the natural-physical characterization of the study area, allowing you to explore different types of attributes or classes by multivariate statistical analysis, why that facilitates the selection of sampling areas: wet forest; transitional forest; dry forest; silvopastoral and setting.
