The climate change is the most important environmental problem actually. Between the adaptation strategies to reduce its effect, one of the most important is the education for responsible energy consumption in the different educative levels. The aim of this study was to know the ideas about climatic change and energy consumption of UNEXPO-LCM chemistry students. The work is a field investigation supported in the qualitative paradigm. The study group was formed by eight chemistry students, of 2012-I course, which was interviewed on this matter. It was founded that they have few information about climatic change, based on their own environmental experiences not knowing its relationship with energy consumption, especially in transport sector. Based on diagnose results, it was proposed the incorporation of a didactic unit about such topics.
