The wetland Saline of Pampatar was economic center, along with fishing, until the mid-twentieth century. Changes in labor supply in the town, is threatened by human activities and the indiscriminated and inappropiated use. The experience of its inhabitants, as a source of social representation (Moscovici, 1961/1979) of Salina, part of unstructured interviews and free conversations with key informants, seniors Pampatar. The analysis of his reminiscences allowed anchored rebuild their importance and identity elements, worry and longing relevant to the care and use of the saline. It was determined the importance of the saline and the identity elements of those peoples. Time references to presidential terms, permissive than the punitive and went in extracting salt and rain in abundance milestone in fishing. They evoked saline limited places and objects linked to the tools and ways to removing, extract and grind salt. These reports form an educational resource for the sustainability of this wetland.
