The Climate change is a challenge in order to improve the quality of life of humanity, hence the importance of promoting an Energy Education oriented at developing ethical and cognitive skills for the efficient use of non-conventional sources of renewable energy (NCES). The purpose of the research was to promote a favorable environmental awareness for the use of a photovoltaic system that contributed to energy saving and mitigation of the effects of climate change. It is a quantitative research with a descriptive and field level. The sample consisted of 10 eleventh grade students from the Gonzalo Jiménez Navas School located in Santander- Colombia. The electrical energy generated by the control system developed by the students of the institution was increased by more than 39% with the mediation of the researcher.
