The teaching of science has been treated in classrooms with little scientific attachment and insufficient strategies that provide meaningful critical learning. The purpose of this study was to analyze the learning process of concepts related to scientific activity using the kitchen workshop as a pedagogical scenario. Field research, descriptive level of the naturalistic-interpretative paradigm. It is concluded that, although the initial ideas of the students regarding the scientific activity were not oriented towards a particular epistemological current, the didactic activities selected were pertinent to facilitate the significant learning. The acquisition of scientific competences: to elaborate predictions, hypotheses, procedures of investigation and discussion of results. The kitchen workshop could be considered as a pedagogical scenario that facilitates the learning of some dimensions related to the nature of science under an implicit approach, so it is recommended its use in school.
