This study evaluated didactic strategies that help to promote logic mathematic thought in initial schools. It was done in a country school of Trujillo, Venezuela,   during October 2005 and June 2006. The methodology was action research, with and exploratory description of teachers pedagogical skills related to logic Mathematic thought. An exclusive plan to perform and evaluate several strategies was designed. These strategies were based on Piaget theories. Beyond the strategies applied, there were verbal actions, games and reversibility strategies. The development of processes of classification, numerical conservation, increase in vocabulary, use or argumentative forms in problem solution, satisfaction for cooperative work and development of autonomy in the school activities were shown.
