Abstract

VALDIVE, Carmen  and  GARBIN, Sabrina. Cómo piensan los estudiantes el infinitesimal antes de iniciar un curso de análisis matemáticoHOW STUDENTS THINK INFINITESIMAL BEFORE STARTING THE COURSE OF MATHEMATICAL ANALYSIS?. Paradígma [online]. 2013, vol.34, n.1, pp.117-144. ISSN 1011-2251.

The ideas, findings and thoughts that we develop are products that are based on studies and research (Valdivé, 2006; Valdivé 2008a, 2008b; Valdivé, 2008c;Valdivé and Garbin, 2007, 2008, 2010) that have sought to contribute to the study of infinitesimal and infinite small. In particular, we show a way to approach the conceptual schemes that evoke previous students before starting a course of Mathematical Analysis I. It is evident that some students evoke a variety of pre-conceptual schemas associated with the notion, which are described in the article, and which are similar in some ways to the ideas found in the historical evolution of the notion of infinitesimal.

Keywords : Infinitesimal; conceptual; frameworks; epistemological conceptual schemes.
