PASEK DE PINTO, Eva; AVILA DE VANEGAS, Nelly  y  MATOS DE ROJAS, Yuraima. Conceptions of social participation with educational actors and its implications. Paradígma [online]. 2015, vol.36, n.2, pp.99-121. ISSN 1011-2251.

Since the educational actors participate little in the activities of the school and the teaching-learning process, assumes that the conception that have on social participation directs its actions in favor or against an active, responsible participation. There arises the general objective consists in revealing the conceptions of social participation educational actors and their implications have. Oriented by the qualitative paradigm under the ethnographic method, applied the interview in depth 1director, 8 teachers, 4 representatives and 2 students in order to obtain the information. This was codified, was categorized and validated by the triangulation of sources. It resulted that social participation is understood as: integration (20%), involvement (13%), collaboration (13%) and opinion (27%). In conclusion, only 33% of the actors conceived participation as a commitment to operate actively and 73% acknowledged that it refrains from participating, i.e. they are liabilities to the reality and the duty as actors responsible for the learning process of the students. It is suggested to promote activities of training and involvement leading to assume a sense of involvement, commitment and interest in the educational process of the students.

Palabras clave : social participation; involvement; abstention; training to participate.
