CUESTA CANADAS, Cristina et al. Contribution to Psychomotricity In Early Education Through Cooperative Games. Paradígma [online]. 2016, vol.37, n.1, pp.99-134. ISSN 1011-2251.
The main purpose of this paper is to show how a didactic proposal, based on cooperative motor games, can improve the different aspects of the Early Education psychomotricity, such as the physical, motor, perceptive, social-relational and emotional development, in a public school in the province of Albacete, Spain. The design of this research has been quasi-experimental, using a control group and an experimental group. The tools used to evaluate this proposal were: a psychomotor observation sheet for the psycho-motor aspect, perceptual-motor aspect and affective-relational aspect; and, a scale to measure the social skills. The results obtained show, on one hand, that the experimental group has improved in its social skills when relating to adults or peers, and on the other hand, that the experimental group has improved in relationship to its psychomotor domain regarding motor performance, postural control, body image, and arms and legs coordination. In conclusion, it can be said that the proposal of cooperative games, as designed here, is effective for improving the above-mentioned aspects.
