ROSALES RIADY, Marco Antonio  e  GUZMAN RETAMAL, Ismenia. Solving problems in geometric construction with students of pedagogy in elementary education. Paradígma [online]. 2016, vol.37, n.1, pp.135-160. ISSN 1011-2251.

This article focus on discipline knowledge that that elementary pedagogy students need to activate to face problems of geometric construction by using physical, digital and intellectual instruments. In addition, to identify the cognitive operations that they put in games and the geometric paradigms in which they place to validate their productions. This study is based on Duval's theoretical frame, and other investigators who work in his line as well, and at Gonseth-Houdement-Kuzniak's Geometric Paradigms. The methodology is qualitative with this case study. There were applied two situations of three tasks, each one in two sessions which they were worked individually by four voluntary students chosen randomly; they had worksheets, tools for construction and a computer. Within the results, it was found no explanation in procedures of construction; when they are located in the physical Geometry, they do not realize that by measuring, it is possible to check, and in case of the flat Geometry, they do not affect definitions, properties and theorems; they justify neither his affirmations nor used procedures; they do not consider the geometric processor. As for the cognitive processes, they show different levels of reasoning, favoring the natural speech, although it is deficient.
