The basic education is the first level formation offered to brazilian students in the age of 4 until 17 years old. Focused in teaching, this formative stage lacks of complementarity with research and extension, pillars that generally are used only in college. The article suggests that the usage of these three basis must be driven by three affections: mold the admiration, moderate suspection, transit from ideas to motion. These affections of cognition move the power of happiness to favour the increase ok knowledge, the opening of paths to good thinking and viability to promotion of fruitful dialogue. Such understanding  highlights school as an opened “Ágora”, moved by cognitive democracy, used to the diversity of  knowledge and the pluralism of ideas; constant plenary against the blindness and the rigidity of thought; permanent forum of formation of a responsible subject.
