SANTOS, Guacyra Costa e FIGUEIREDO, Renato Pereira de. The Pedagogy of the Butterflies: a conception of science education. Paradígma [online]. 2016, vol.37, n.2, pp.94-105. ISSN 1011-2251.
From the enchantment with the math classes by teacher Marivaldo Viana to the discovery of the short story The Language of Butterflies, by Manuel Rivas (1995), this article delineates, in the form of a brief report, the construction of the research project by Professor Guacyra Costa. Taken as a starting point, this project was approved for the master's degree in Education from the State University of Southwestern Bahia - UESB. By taking up the need to tell stories that have contributed to making her project, the researcher appreciates self-knowledge processes; she takes the risks to go through distinct ways from those previously established by the traditional methodologies that insist on separating the knower from the known object and, above all, she recognizes the importance of the context in the knowledge production. This attitude towards research approaches is near to what the thinker Edgar Morin (2007) calls method.
