SEVERO, Thiago Emmanuel Araújo. An introductory essay on the notion of experience. Paradígma [online]. 2016, vol.37, n.2, pp.144-153. ISSN 1011-2251.
It is through the exercise of criticism; forthcoming observation and comparison with other models which we may be able to form and order our own experience. On the other hand, just experimenting, without conducting a critically designed evaluation does not stablish the proper core elements to build a rigorous knowledge. In this sense, can we consider the day-by-day, lived experience, as a valid asset to support, thinking and building scientific knowledge in science classes? The aim of this paper is to weave initial notes on this issue, circumscribing both the necessity and the insufficiency of experience in the construction of knowledge from two areas: the first experience, or the lived experience, which is moved by curiosity and may appear to be sufficient; and scientific experience, shaped, treated, but which can, also, appear to be enough. The experimental exercise of ideas woven in this study was based on key concepts and notions held dear to the complexity sciences, taking as main references three theoretical frameworks: Werner Heisenberg, Gaston Bachelard and Edgar Morin.
